Compounds have been included only if their meaning is different from the sum of the separate meanings of the two components, or if it is rendered in the second language by a single word. 5. In the English-Hebrew section, phrasal verbs (formed from a base verb and a preposition) are treated as separate independent entries. Phrasal verbs constitute the most productive grammatical category in modern English. 6. In the Hebrew-English section all entries have a phonetic transcription (Except for compound expressions). 7. In the Hebrew-English section verbs are listed according to the third person singular of the past tense. Each conjugation is listed separately, and there is no mention of the root. This makes using the dictionary much easier, particularly for beginners. 8. Each section of the dictionary has an appendix with a basic grammatical summary.
