Bezalel copper mounted leather illustrated Hebrew Passover Haggadah by Mira Luva and Belinet.; printed in Israel by Sinai Publishing (Tel-Aviv) 1954. This is a rare Bezalel copper mounted leather binding fPassover Haggadah. This fine and elegant brown cover has a copper plaque with the illustration of Hassidic Jews praying at the Kotel (Walling Wall), under the cooper plaque is written in golden Hebrew letters the words: "Israel" - "Wailling wall" - "Jerusalem"; and on the bottom is written in Hebrew ¨Haggadah Shel Pesah. You can see the "Bezalel" name, in Hebrew under the Hammered Copper relief on the bottom right, the lettering has lost some of its gold lettering, see close up picture. This Haggadah comes with many black and white and full color illustrations. The Bezalel school was founded in 1906 by Boris Schatz, who shaped its character.?His approach stressed both the practical and the ideal. ?His vision was to develop useful arts and crafts among Palestinian Jews, thereby decreasing the dependence on charity. ?At the same time, he sought to inspire his students to create a Jewish national style of the arts, in order to promote the Zionist endeavor. Overall, for being 55 years old - the book is in excellent condition; cover is in great condition. Pages are in great condition without worm holes. Clean text readable without problems.
